Our Story
Hi there! I'm Amanda.
I was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec and have always had a passion for travelling and creating. I can even remember my entrepreneurial endeavours as a 7 year old : a sticker business, a pipe-cleaner bracelet business, the list went on! All of these flopped of course, but the creative and entrepreneurial spirit is something that has carried me into adulthood, and is something that has fuelled the Happy Place Travel shop + blog.
I started the Happy Place Travel blog back in 2020, which included my blog & the Instagram page. I began sharing my travel experiences and tips for travelling on a budget, and three years later I'm still in love with my work!
I've always dreamed of starting my own business, being my own boss, and helping others travel the world. The products and services you'll find in this shop are designed to help you travel as much as possible, on a budget, and without missing out on any of the good stuff! PS. As a photographer in the travel space, I will also be offering photography services very soon! These will include sessions for portrait, couple, family, and corportate/event shoots, so keep your eye out for updates!
